Dish of White-Painted I ware from Palaepaphos-Skales (excavation by the Cyprus Department of Antiquities), Tomb 58. Inv. no. 104. Cypro-Geometric Ι period (11th century BC). Cyprus Museum, Nicosia. Height: 5 cm. Diameter: 28.3 cm. The base is decorated with a pictorial composition: two human figures trying to kill a large two-headed snake with arrows. Probably an early representation of the myth of Heracles and Iolaus killing the Snake of Lerna.
